10. What does NPT (Sleep Test) mean? |
NPT TEST is Monitoring of the penis during sleep which allows the physician to determine the quality of erection. It means that all erections during the night are recorded by the computer to be evaluated. The patient is taken into his room around 21:00 pm. The charged staff connects the recorder that is approximately as big as mobile radio to our patient's penis who has rested in his room for a while and become familiar with the room before sleep. In the next morning, the recorder is taken off and the patient returns back to his normal daily activities. During the 2 nights the test is performed, the patient stays at the hospital and continues his normal daily routine. |
